How do you turn your creative dreams into your joy?
I can say that being creative was effortless when I had a young family. The children were always needing clothes (new or mended) and gifts, as well as the hubby. Even just the meal planning and preparation so that none of us dreaded having packed lunches (yes, I worked outside the home) kept my creative juices flowing.
Now I am a widow with an empty nest, well I have animals to keep me company. My creative juices dried up at the time of my husbands death several years ago, my mental health wasn't in great shape either. I thought I would never feel that bubbly rush of creativity again. It has been an uneven path to get back to Making, and thanks to this website I am motivated to design and create once again. For me, I hope this is more than just a shop - I want to inspire and be inspired.
Creativity has its ebbs and flows, tied to life’s ups and downs. If you’re reading this and feel like your creative spark has dimmed, know that you’re not alone. Sometimes all it takes is a nudge, a new project, or seeing what others are making to reignite that joy.
This space is here for all makers—whether you’re rediscovering your passion, trying something new, or just looking for a bit of inspiration. Let’s celebrate the beauty of creating together, one project, one idea, and one shared story at a time.
So, let’s connect! Share your creations, your challenges, and your dreams. You can find me on Facebook at Dream, Create, Joy, and I’d love to see what you’re working on. Let’s turn those creative dreams into joy—together.
